St. Agnes Academy, founded in 1906 by the Dominican Sisters, provides a Catholic, college-preparatory education that encourages young women to develop intellectual curiosity, to work for social justice, and to act with integrity and compassion. St. Agnes maintains over a century of Dominican tradition and excellence by preparing young women for a future steeped in change, challenge and technology.
The Academy thrives today with a student population of the Greater Houston area - with more than 860 students from 90 area zip codes, more than 100 feeder schools and representing the diverse culture and heritage of 20 countries. St. Agnes students continue to achieve academically with the help of an enriching curriculum, a talented faculty, a cutting-edge technology program, social-justice service work and special programs.
St. Agnes is a remarkable place for young women to grow, learn and achieve beyond academic coursework. Athletics and fine arts, as well as grounding in the traditions of the Catholic faith, prepare and empower Academy women for their future. Today, we count thousands of alumnae among our committed supporters and celebrate these exceptional women who make an impact in all walks of life through their careers, community service, ministry and families.
