Currently celebrating its 20th anniversary year, The John Cooper School is an independent, non-sectarian, PK-Grade 12 college preparatory day school located in The Woodlands. Small classes, personal attention and active involvement in academics, the arts, athletics and community service form the foundation of the Cooper experience. Cooper provides a comprehensive educational program that is at once academically challenging and personally nurturing for all of our students. Located on a 43-acre wooded campus, Cooper's enrollment has grown to 950 students by nurturing a love of life, learning and the world around us.
Cooper offers small classes for individualized attention, state-of-the art technology, Spanish taught at all grade levels, competitive athletics and extensive performing and visual arts. Traditions such as the annual school-wide International Day celebration, honoring the people and cultures of the world, the Kindergarten Adoption Project that pairs Kindergartners with senior students for a year of activities, and our annual Habitat Project that unites all divisions of the school to fund and construct a Habitat for Humanity home in our community, are just a few examples of how Cooper fulfills its mission to enable students to become creative thinkers, responsible citizens and lifetime learners. The success of our founding mission is apparent in what The John Cooper School continues to be today -- one of the most successful independent schools in Texas.
