The Emery/Weiner School (EWS) is a college-preparatory middle and high school located on a beautiful, new 12-acre campus in southwest Houston. In addition to the spacious classrooms and well-equipped science and computer labs, the campus houses a professional quality theater, a multi-court gymnasium, top-notch athletic areas, and a well-furnished library.
Emery/Weiner strives to provide students with a progressive, empowering, and pluralistic environment that ensures cultivation of each student’s intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs. The challenging, dual-studies curriculum includes both high-quality secular courses and Judaic Studies. Our teachers are encouraged to innovate as they educate, using creative strategies to engage students in their studies and motivate them to excel.
Due to the small class sizes, teachers can instruct, evaluate, counsel, and work closely with students on their individual needs. Because we believe in the tremendous value of experiential learning, a daily assembly, an advisory system, outdoor education programs, and several out-of-state trips are incorporated as a regular, integral part of an Emery/Weiner education. The school also offers a comprehensive athletics program, fine arts classes, and a variety of extracurricular activities. And we do all this in a supportive environment that is framed by and infused with an abiding appreciation for Jewish tradition.
