Founded in 1982, Episcopal High School of Houston is a four-year coeducational day school affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. The school community is faith-centered and provides instruction to over 600 college-bound students with average-to-exceptional abilities from all over the Houston metropolitan area. The strong academic program is complemented by extensive offerings in religion, fine arts, and athletics. A wide array of honors and Advanced Placement courses is available for qualified students, and the majority of EHS graduates go on to attend their first-choice colleges.

Significant school programs include the following:

• Wireless network, allowing all students and teachers to make extensive use of laptops as classroom learning tools
• Active student government, with student-led, adult-guided Honor and Discipline Councils
• An abundance of extracurricular opportunities: more than 50 clubs, of which Diversity in Action (DIA) is one of the largest
• Two-week Interim Term (early in the second semester, all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors take two one-week courses reflecting a variety of topics and offering opportunities for experiential learning)
• Simultaneous two-week Senior Outreach project: seniors volunteer for full days at more than 70 local social-service agencies, hospitals, and elementary schools.
