AT THE HEART: ST. JOHN'S MISSION
At the heart of the St. John's experience is our mission to educate the whole person, to develop the "spiritual, ethical, intellectual, social, and physical" capacities of every student we enroll. Ranging from enrichment opportunities in the Lower School to Independent Study Projects in the Upper School, we offer our diversely talented students an array of educational opportunities that can be tailored to the specific needs of unique individuals. Seeking "to encourage excellence and to foster talent wherever they occur," we encourage students to take full advantage of extensive offerings in academics, fine arts, athletics, community service, and countless other student activities. Because we are a small community with vast opportunities, every student can make a difference. Our mission calls us not just to train brains, but to inspire intellectual creativity, sensitivity and responsibility as well.
